Lockerbie Square, a quiet residential area about half a mile from the very center of Indianapolis, is rich in history and charm. With its tree-lined streets, quaint homes, and a few stately mansions, it provided a picturesque backdrop for Olivia and Will's engagement photos. The couple's attire was perfectly formal yet summery, adding to the sophisticated yet relaxed vibe of the session.

As we strolled through the historic streets of Lockerbie Square, Olivia and Will's love for each other shone through in every shot. The area’s rich history, dating back to the 1860s, and its charming ambiance enhanced the romantic atmosphere. Cora, their Dalmatian mix, was a delightful addition to the session, bringing joy and playfulness to the photos.

One of the highlights of the session was capturing the couple on their private patio, which offered stunning views of the Indianapolis skyline. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the city, Olivia and Will enjoyed some cold wine and a pre-dinner snack. The sunset provided a perfect, romantic backdrop, creating unforgettable images that captured their love and the beauty of the moment.

Tell me the story of how you two met:

We met on Bumble! The girl has to send the first message so I sent a GIF of a whale saying Whale Hello There!

Tell us about your first date!

We enjoyed a low-key first date over breakfast on a weekday. Luckily, neither of us needed to use work as a reason to cut the date short and he invited me over to have dinner a couple of days later.

Tell us your about your upcoming wedding day.

Where will you be getting married and what made you choose your venue?We are getting married in Indianapolis and we are thrilled to have found a venue so close to our Lockerbie home.

What were some things you were nervous about going into your engagement session?

Will is not a huge fan of taking photos but he always puts a smile on his face and we both try to help the other just relax and have fun with it!

Are either of you "not photo people"?

Will does not enjoy photos and he still doesn't but he knows they make me happy!

"Cody really gives us space to just breathe and relax, he is helpful with direction and it makes the flow of things feel more natural."

What is your biggest piece of advice to couples getting ready for their engagement session?

Pick your location and outfits based on what makes you most comfortable! It was so great to be able to take photos in our Lockerbie neighborhood and also at our home. When you feel relaxed with what you are wearing and where you are it helps!
